Can I move house in the National Lockdown?
In short yes! The government guidance is allowing Estate Agents to remain open, meaning you can move home as long as you’re not self-isolating.
We have put together this blog of frequently asked questions to help and reassure you that the team and I are personally here to help you safely every step of the way with moving home.
Can I view a house in lockdown?
Where possible virtual viewings are recommended, and we are keeping our website is up to date with additional information and supporting pictures of all properties.
However yes you can still view a house, but we must adhere to the following safety rules
1. Appointments only
2. No more than two households can attend a viewing (and we the agent count as one household)
3. Appropriate PPE must be worn by
4. Social distancing rules must be followed
5. Where possible all internal doors to be open and handles, surfaces to be cleaned before and after each visit.
Can I list my house for sale in lockdown?
Yes. We are operating a safety-first approach when attending valuations, taking details and photographs to support a new house listing, as such we will adhere to the following safety rules;
1. Appointments only
2. Appropriate PPE must be worn by

4. Where possible all internal doors to be open and handles, surfaces to be cleaned before and after each visit
5. If preferred you can vacate your property during our visit and we will update you via the phone afterwards

Where possible please call 01782 538008 and email us at sales@debratimmis.co.uk our staff are available Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm & Sat 9am – 1pm and will be on hand to ensure they can personally answer any questions you may have. Unfortunately, our office is operating a locked door policy therefore we ask that you please contact us first should you wish to visit us and we will confirm an appointment time, although we advise that in order to protect everyone, you only visit if it is essential to do so. Please be aware when arriving at the door, you may need to wait a moment whilst our team members are able to put on their face masks and also ask that you enter with your mask on as well.
Can I ask for help with moving?
Trades people and removal companies can assist you with moving house if required but only one person at time. Where possible please try and do as much work and or packing yourselves.
